Brian Hopkins, Director

 

Mr. Brian Hopkins has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry with a background in investing, private equity and investment banking. He has a long term track record of investment and corporate finance experience with branded companies.
 
Mr. Hopkins is a Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee of Ancora Holdings Inc., which controls SEC registered investment advisors. He is a Portfolio Manager of the firm’s alternative investment group having had a leading role in building the group’s assets. Mr. Hopkins has identified, researched and invested in many of Ancora’s historic special situation investments. He also led the firm’s market leading entry into the field of appraisal rights, an area which has received significant press coverage. Mr. Hopkins has been quoted in numerous press articles including by the Wall Street Journal regarding investments and strategies he has employed.
 
Prior to Ancora, Mr. Hopkins was an Investment Associate with Primus Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity firms in the Midwest. At Primus, he performed due diligence for new investments and monitored portfolio investments. Before joining Primus, he worked in the Consumer Industry Group of the Investment Banking Division of Deutsche Bank in London as an Associate after working in the Consumer Industry Group of Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown in Baltimore as an Analyst.
 
Mr. Hopkins has invested in numerous branded companies through his years as a Portfolio Manager and worked with companies such as Campari Group and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on their Initial Public Offerings as an investment banker.
 
Mr. Hopkins graduated with Honors from Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. He is currently a member of the Board and CEO of Regional Brands Inc. (OTC: RGBD) and a member of the Board of Directors of Wayne Savings Bancshares.
